Geographical position
The village of Cherepovka is located on the Kuritsa River at the place where it flows into the Tern River, upstream at a distance of 1 km are the villages of Nikolaevka and Karpenkovo , upstream of the Tern River at a distance of 2 km is the village of Yercikha , downstream of the Tern River at a distance of 1.5 km is the village of Kovshik (Nedrigailovsky district) , on the opposite bank - the villages of Kubrakovo and Nizhny Sagarevka . A drying creek with a dam flows through the village.
History
The village has been known since the second half of the 17th century . In the 19th century, the village of Cherepovka was the volost center of the Cherepovsky volost of the Putivl district of the Kursk province . In the village was Geogrievskaya and Voskresenskaya church (in 1913 - priest Nikolai Popov) [2] .
