Portuguese Soccer Cup 2009-2010 - The 3rd League Cup of the Portuguese Football League , also known as the Carlsberg Cup ( port Carlsberg Cup ), after the main sponsor of the tournament - Carlsberg Brewing Company. The tournament began on August 1, 2009 , and ended on March 21, 2010 .

The winner of the league cup for the second time was the Lisbon Benfica , which won the Porto final with a score of 3: 0.
Content
Format The Cup begins with a draw between 16 teams of the League Vitalis (Division 2), the result of a two- game standoff revealed 8 teams that joined the teams that won the 2008-09 Season League Sagres (1st Division) from 7th to 14th places, and plus two teams that took off from Top Division, that is, the League of Sagrish on the results of last season. A total of 18 teams that make up six groups of three teams each, each team will play two games, one at home and the other at a party. The winners of the six groups are joined by the teams that took the last season of the Sagres League from 1 to 6 places. Total 12 teams that make up three groups of four teams, each team plays three games. Three winners of groups and one best team from those who will occupy the second places, go to the cup semi-finals. The semi-final and final consist of one game.
