Story

In the early 1800s, the sisters Charlotte and Anne Bronte were preparing to leave their family: Emily's sister, Brother Branwell , aunt and father , in order to work as governesses. Charlotte and Ann want to know life outside the home to write. Their brother Branwell is a talented, temperamental artist, Emily takes care of him, and Charlotte and Ann intend to earn money working as governesses so that her brother has the opportunity to study art in London . One night, when Branwell gets drunk in a local tavern, his father's new vicar arrives - Arthur Nicholls. Branwell demands that Arthur escort him to the priest's house. At first, Arthur refuses, believing that it is too late, but then seeing how much Branwell drunk agrees. Emily opens the door and takes Arthur for one of her brother's drinking companions. The next day, after Branwell leaves for London, Arthur reappears. After being greeted by the head of the family, Mr. Patrick Bronte, Emily’s mistake is clear and she and Arthur become friends. One day, Emily shows Arthur a lonely house that inspired her to write the novel Wuthering Heights . After some time, the disappointed Branwell returns home, reproaching the sisters for their failure. Charlotte and Ann are also returning to their father's house. At a ball in the neighborhood, Thornton Arthur is amazed at the beauty of Charlotte. When Charlotte realizes that Emily is interested in the vicar, the older sister is also keen on him ...
