Grew up in poverty from a divorced father who worked in the mail. After a short period of work at the post office, he devoted the next forty years of his life to journalism, writing to major Istanbul newspapers. He began his literary work with translations from the French language . He is the author of novels, novels, and stories, in which he discovered knowledge of the life and customs of various sectors of society. In 1927 he was elected to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (1927-1932).
