Marengo (lat.) Is a genus of araneusomorphic spiders from the Ballinae subfamily in the family of horse spiders ( Salticidae ). Of the six species described in the genus, only one lives in Southeast Asia (in the state of Thailand), and the remaining five live on the island of Sri Lanka.

Etymology
The genus was named after the Italian city of Marengo ( English Marengo ), where the Battle of Marengo took place, and the name of the horse of Emperor Napoleon I.
