Content
Story
The film takes place in a world where there is no lie, and people say what they think, and it does not even occur to them to restrain their comments. Particularly dramatic is the advertisement, in which there is no exaggeration and hyperbolization, and feature films in this world are reading screenplays of scripts that are a literal retelling of historical events.
Mark Bellison is a loser screenwriter who is repeatedly told that he is a fat loser. Anna McDouglas, who agreed to a date with Mark, is of the same opinion.
The next day, Mark is fired from his job as the most unsuccessful screenwriter. And then you still need to pay the rent of the apartment, and only $ 300 in the bank account. Mark comes to the bank to withdraw the balance from the account and then it occurs to him to say that he has 800 dollars in the account. In a world where no one is lying, there is more confidence in a person than in technology, so Mark receives the requested amount at the same time.
Having mastered the basic skills of ordinary lies, Mark began a completely new life: he writes a script that is recognized as the best at the studio, he develops a relationship with Anna, which gives him a second chance. And by the bed of the dying mother, Mark, to ease her suffering, talks about the benefits that can be gained after death. Thus, yesterday's screenwriter loser becomes the founder of the first religion in this world.
