Tanith Lee ( Eng. Tanith Lee ; September 19, 1947, London , England - May 24, 2015 [1] ) - British writer in the genres of science fiction , horror , fantasy . Author of more than 70 novels and 250 short stories, children's books, poems. She also wrote the script for two episodes of the BBC science fiction series Seven Blake .

Tanit Lee married writer John Kaiine in 1992.
Before becoming a professional writer, Tanit worked as an assistant in the library, as well as a waitress. The first published story was Eustace in 1968. Her first novel (for children), The Dragon Hoard, was released in 1971. Success came to Tanit Lee after the release of the White Witch cycle, the fantasy epic for adults.
Lee died at her home in East Sussex from breast cancer on May 24, 2015. [2]
