Geography

The village is washed by three rivers: from the south, the Pechora river, from the east by the Vertny stream, from the west by the Bolshoy Aranets river. Vertny and B. Aranets fall into Pechora. Two kilometers below the village along the Pechora River is the Aranetsky threshold, which is a pile of natural stone slabs hidden under the upper layer of water.

History

The village was founded in 1671 by immigrants from the Mylva River on the right bank of the Pechora River, 944 km from its mouth, 45 kilometers west of Mount Sabla (1497 meters), which is part of the mountain system of the Subpolar Urals .

In the 19th century, Aranets became known as the second branch of the Sibiryakovsky tract. The evidence of those times is the existing chopped two-story house made of larch, built in 1895 by Maxim , a resident of Aranz.

On June 21, 1998, the Voronezh settler Alexei founded the Aranets Estate, located on the highest point of the village, on a hill representing a peninsula formed by the confluence of the Bolshoi ARANETS and Pechora rivers.

Active participation in the construction of the Manor was taken by residents of Konetsbor Alexei Vanyuta and Alexander Popov, resident of the Medvezhskaya village Sergey Suponenko, Voronezh masons Vladimir Petukhov and Vasily Savostin, heating engineer from Voronezh Alexey Kolodeznykh. Since 2010 and today, Aranets Manor includes a two-story house with a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom downstairs and a living room with bedrooms on the upper floor, permanent staff for house maintenance, a bath house in the manor's yard. For descent to the river, a fifty-meter wooden staircase was built, the only one existing all over the Pechora River today. At the foot of the stairs there is a horse-drawn winter road to the Great Land, and in the summer there is an opportunity to moor by water.

In the village of Aranets, a farmer Yevgeny Yermolaevich Shakhtarov is registered, engaged in agriculture, meat and milk production, and also, since 2016, keeping a small number of deer.
