Zotero is an open source program , an addition ( plugin ) to the Firefox browser . Allows you to collect quotes with sources, save PDF documents, web pages, videos and other files, links to interesting materials on the Web, create personal bibliographies on topics (unlike the similar ScrapBook extension).

EndNote vs Zotero
In September 2008, Thomson Reuters, through a trial of developers, required $ 10 million for Mozilla Firefox Zotero - George Mason University , and Virginia itself. Thomson Reuters lawyers claim that the Zotero developers implemented support for their proprietary .ens file format, used by their proprietary EndNote program, illegally reverse-engineering the program; violated the license by converting the files supplied with this program, and distribute the result of this conversion through their website. [8] In 2009, the lawsuit was rejected. [9]
