LG GD510

The user interface of the LG GD510 is a simplified version of the three-dimensional S-class interface used in other products of the company (for example, LG KM900 Arena. ^[3] This interface supports three desktops , switching between which is done by turning or dragging the pages from right to left with your finger.

On each desktop there is an immutable line of four shortcuts placed horizontally on the bottom of the panel. From right to left: “Go to the main menu”, sub- menu of the “Messages” menu, sub-menu of the "Contacts" menu and sub-menu of the "Dialing" menu. ^[four]

On the first desktop, a fixed set of widgets is installed, located on the "elastic ribbon". The tape is stretched from touching, allowing you to "drag" the desired widget onto the screen. In the same way, you can return it back to tape. Shaking the phone aligns the selected widgets in the required order.

The second desktop - Livesquare - was first implemented in the touch phone, although it had previously been used in LG mobile phones. ^[5] Essentially, it is an animated history of calls and messages. The most frequently used contacts are displayed in the form of a figure (people or animals) with a signature in the form of a name or number ^[1] . By selecting a contact in the Livesquare field, you can perform one of three actions - call, edit or send a message. You can also combine contacts using the selection for multi-distribution. ^[6]

The third desktop is designed for quick access to selected address book numbers.

LG GD510 is equipped with a standard battery and optionally can be equipped with a solar panel. In a model with the Sun Edition index, solar recharging is initially included.

The solar panel is attached to the back of the phone instead of the usual cover and allows you to power the battery away from the mains using the energy of the sun ^[2] . Ten minutes of such recharging at a light intensity of 80,000 lux is enough to make a call lasting 2 minutes 15 seconds. A full recharge of the battery is carried out in 15 hours - provided that the sun's rays continuously illuminate the device at an angle of 90 degrees. ^[7]

When the solar panel is connected, the sun symbol appears on the battery indicator on the screen: gray in the inactive state and red during charging.

The solar panel allows you to charge the phone from any light source (sun, car headlights, flashlight). Under sunlight, recharging is faster - provided that they do not refract through the glass.
