The species range covers the North Caucasus , Transcaucasia , Asia Minor and Iran .
It grows in subalpine meadows .
The rhizome is short, ascending. Stem 20-100 cm tall, finely pubescent, branched , ribbed in the lower half.
The basal leaves are oblong in shape, 3-5 cm wide, with a petiole 10β20 cm long, simply pinnate, on shorter petioles that immediately turn into an enlarged, whitish or purple-colored vagina , leaf lobes are widely ovate or oblong, acute or blunt, coarsely notched, serrated, sometimes almost lobed. Lower leaves on short petioles; the upper ones are 1.5β2.4 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, sessile, smaller and more strongly incised, almost twice-feathery, with oblong-linear segments.
Umbrellas with 10-20 smooth, almost identical in length rays, 2.5-5 cm across; no wrappers or wrappers; pedicels are less hairy; petals pink-purple, rarely white.
The fruits are glabrous, ovate, 2.5 mm long, 1.2 mm wide, the pillar is almost round.
Species The pink-colored thigh is part of the genus Pimpinella of the family Umbrella ( Apiaceae ) of the order Umbrella- flowers ( Apiales ).
