Tang Du ( Chinese р 都 п , pinyin : Táng Dū ) (II century BC) is an ancient Chinese astronomer and astrologer of the Western Han era.

In 104 BC e. Together with the famous historian and astrologer Sima Qiang , the astronomer and astrologer Los Moong and other scholars, officials participated in the compilation of the new calendar "Tai Chu Chi." According to Shi Ji chapter 130, Sima Tan, father of the historian Sima Qian, studied with Tang Du astronomy (天 官). Tan Du is also mentioned in chap. 26, 27, 112 " Shi Ji ."
Testimonies of life and doctrine
- “When our current sovereign ascended the throne, he called for the astrologer Tan Du and entrusted him with an order for the affairs of Heaven” (Shi Ji Chapter 26, original text: Chinese. 至今 上 即位 , 招致 方 士唐 都 , 分 其 天 部 ).
- “From the time of Han, among those who were skilled in heavenly calculations [are known]: Tang Du - according to stars, Wang Sho - according to vapor and fog, Wei Xian - according to fortune-telling about the harvest” (Shi ji. Chapter 27, original text: whale . 夫 自 漢 之 為 天 數 者 , 星 則 唐 都 , 氣 則 王朔 , 占 歲 則 魏 鮮。 ).
