History
The station was opened on December 28, 1995 as part of the Chkalovskaya – Volzhskaya section, after the opening of which there were 157 stations in the Moscow Metro.
Design and Design
The station is single-vaulted, shallow (depth - 12 meters), built of monolithic reinforced concrete . The decoration used marble of various breeds, an aluminum profile, from which the cornice of the escalator pavilion is made, the design of the station is based on the theme of the development of automotive design (the oldest Moscow automobile market is nearby). The track walls, decorated with marble, smoothly pass into the arch, to which original fixtures with red metal casings are attached. The floor is laid with granite in different colors (mostly gray).
Lobbies and Transplants
There is only one lobby - the south one, access via escalators to the streets of Yuzhnoportovaya , Trofimova , Petra Romanova , 5th Kozhukhovskaya . At the north end there is a canned exit with access to utility rooms, on the surface there is only a margin under the lobby in the form of a square. Possible free transfer to station Dubrovka .
Perspectives
There is a plan to merge the line into the village of Kommunarka and the Nekrasov line . Station "Kozhukhovskaya" can become a transfer to a promising station Kommunarovsko-Kozhukhovskaya line [1] .
Passenger
As of 2002 , the passenger traffic of the station amounted to 28,200 people [2] .
Pronunciation
Two variants of the name of the street and the metro station - “Kozhuhovskaya” or “Kozhuhovskaya” —are found in various dictionaries of the Russian language [3] (see, for example, “The Dictionary of Moscow Streets” [4] ), but the pronunciation “Kozhuhovskaya” is considered traditional in Moscow - so the station name is announced by the autoinformer.

Interesting Facts
- According to Viktor Dvurechenskikh , Chairman of the Moscow Chamber of Control and Accounts, the station was built 225% more expensive than the original estimate. A number of media noted that this Moscow metro station was the most expensive [5] [6] [7] [8] .
- The difference in depth between Dubrovka and Kozhukhovskaya is 50 meters. This can be seen standing on the first one along the second track and looking towards the arriving train: it becomes clear that the tunnel rises sharply up immediately after the station. There is another rise - on the site towards Pechatnikov , but it is less sharp and is associated with the presence of quicksand sandstones in the South Port (because of this the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line , although traced much more north, on the Volgogradsky Prospekt site - “ Tekstilshchiki ” was laid on the ground due to the lack of groundwater and TPMK freezing technologies in those years).
