Lenin Street (Tyumen)

Lenin Street (at that time Spasskaya) is one of the first streets of the city. The city grew - this street also lengthened. • Unity and Concord Square

It was also part of the Market Square. Until the 21st century, it was a market square - there were tents. After the reconstruction, the square acquired a fountain. The square also houses a covered market building, the Central Shopping Center (formerly the Tyumen Central Department Store) and the Federal Arbitration Court of the West Siberian District.

Lenin Street is one of the main transport arteries of Tyumen, taking on half the traffic flow of ul. Republic in the historic city center. The largest intersections are ul. Chelyuskintsev, Pervomaiskaya , Severnaya and Morisa Toreza. All buses to the city center go along this street.

Academician Farman Salmanov , one of the discoverers of Tyumen oil , lived in house number 65 on Lenin Street. The memorial plaque on the house was opened on August 30, 2013, its author is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Zaur Rzayev , a student of Alexander Rukavishnikov and the son of the famous Azerbaijani sculptor Fakhraddin Rzayev ^[2] .
