General information
The construction of the hydroelectric power station began in 1961 , and ended in 1964 . The first hydraulic unit was launched in 1962 , 2 and 3 in 1963 .
The composition of hydroelectric power plants:
- left-bank and right-bank bulk dams with a total length of 2965 m and a maximum height of 11.4 m;
- 34 m concrete spillway dam;
- 326 m inlet channel;
- building of hydroelectric power station of channel type;
- 520 m long discharge channel
The capacity of the hydroelectric power station is 27 MW, the average annual output is 131.5 million kWh . In the building of the hydroelectric station, 3 rotary-bladed hydraulic units with a capacity of 9 MW each, operating at a design pressure of 7.15 m, are installed. Some of the hydroelectric equipment is outdated, its modernization is required. The pressure structures of the hydroelectric power station (the length of the pressure front is 3.51 km) form a reservoir with an area of 2.33 km², a full and useful capacity of 7 and 1 million m³. When creating the reservoir, 5 hectares of farmland were flooded.
The hydroelectric station was designed by the Lengidroproekt Institute.
Belomorskaya Hydroelectric Power Station is part of TGK-1 OJSC.
