Story
The film begins with the inscription: “All events are based on real events, all Chapman’s phrases are taken from his real words.”
Mark Chapman is on duty at John Lennon's house to get an autograph. He receives a signature (this photo was captured by one of Lennon's fans and was his last photo), after which the musician leaves. Mark is talking to the person who took the photo. He leaves, asking Chapman why he does not leave, to which he replies: "I want to get Yoko's autograph."
Lennon is back. He walks onto the porch. Chapman shouts to him in the wake of “Hey Mr. Lennon!” After which he immediately takes out a gun and shoots five times. John is falling. Yoko is crying. Doctors and police come. Chapman is taken to the police station and interrogated. He turns out to be a perfectly adequate married man. Meanwhile, televisions around the world are reporting the death of John Lennon. The world is mourned.
