Murad Gadzhialievich Lakhiyalov ( 1976 - October 25, 2005 ) - a member of illegal armed groups , the leader of the Wahhabi underground in Dagestan , the leader of the Jamaat Sharia group . One of the organizers of a series of terrorist attacks against police in Dagestan in 2003-2005.

Lakhiyalov was on the international wanted list for committing crimes under Articles 105, 205, 209, 210, 222 and 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder, terrorist act , banditry , organization of a criminal community, illegal arms and explosives trafficking, encroachment on the lives of law enforcement officials).

Biography

The early years

Born in Makhachkala. He became a follower of Wahhabism back in prison, where he was serving a term for car thefts.

Terrorism

In the mid- 2000s, he was one of the members of the Jamaat Sharia . After the destruction of July 6, 2005, Rasul Makasharipov was the most famous figure among the militants of Dagestan. Together with Yasin Rasulov, he created a video based on a video message. [1] [2]

The main organizer of a series of terrorist attacks committed in the Republic of Dagestan directed against employees of law enforcement agencies. Death

On October 24, 2005, law enforcement authorities of Dagestan received information that members of illegal armed groups may be on the ground floor of building No. 53 on Nasrutdinov Avenue, which is located in the village of Reduktorom, Makhachkala . At 17 o’clock the workers of power structures left for the place, after negotiations the militants refused to surrender and opened fire on them. The city police decided to cordon off the area and evacuate all residents of the five-story building. In the shootout, two riot policemen were slightly injured, none of the civilians were injured [9] . According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, Lt. Gen. Adilgerey Magomedtagirov , at the end of the operation to eliminate the militants in Makhachkala, the security forces managed to kill the leaders of the underground militants Gadzhimagomed Ismailov and Murad Lakhiyalov.
