Borisov district is an administrative unit within the Minsk governorship , the Minsk province and the Byelorussian SSR , which existed in 1793-1924 . The center is the city of Borisov .

Administrative division
In 1913 the county was 28 townships: Berezovskaya, Bytchanskaya, Begoml, Veliko Doletskaya, Velyatichskaya , Vitunichskaya, Volosovichskaya, Heine-Sloboda (center - to Sloboda.) Glyvynskyy, Dmitrovichskaya, Dokshitsky, Zachistskaya, Zembinskaya, Kischino-Sloboda, Krasnolupskaya, Logoiskaya, Loshnitskaya, Milchanskaya, Mstizhskaya (the center is the village of Voloki), Osovskaya, Pleschenitskaya, Prusevichskaya, Smolevichskaya, Tumilovichskaya, Ukhvalskaya, Kholopenichskaya, Esmonskaya, Yuryevskaya [1] .
History
Borisov district in the Minsk province of the Russian Empire was formed in 1793 after the 2nd section of the Commonwealth [2] . From 1795 to 1796 belonged to the Minsk governorship. In 1921, the Minsk Province was abolished, and the county passed into the direct subordination of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Belarus.
In 1924, the county was abolished.
Population
According to the census of 1897, 238.2 thousand people lived in the county. Including Belarusians - 80.9%; Jews - 11.2%; Poles - 4.1%; Russians - 3.1%. 15,063 people lived in the county town of Borisov, 3,642 people lived in out-of- staff Dkshitsy. [3]
