Shirokogolovy [1] ( lat. Asterophrys ) - a genus of tailless amphibians from the family Uzkoroty , endemic to New Guinea .

The eggs are large, connected clearly. After the female lays eggs, the male covers them with their paws, covering them with the body. The development of tadpoles takes place directly in the egg. The respiratory organ of the tadpoles is the tail.
In case of danger, frogs “inflate” themselves by swallowing air and open their mouth wide, showing a blue tongue.
