Tarcisio Bertone was born December 2, 1934 in Romano Canavese, Italy, was the fifth of eight children. On December 20, 2014 , Pope Francis accepted the resignation of Cardinal Bertone from the post of Camerlengo and appointed him successor to Cardinal Jean-Louis Toran ^[5] .
