Early life

Tarcisio Bertone was born December 2, 1934 in Romano Canavese, Italy, was the fifth of eight children. He entered the Order of Salesians on December 3, 1950, the oratorio of Valdocco in Turin , the Salesian novitiate of Monte Oliveto in Pinerolo. Priest and Theologian

He was ordained priests on July 1, 1960, at the Priest, and was ordained by Albino Menza, Bishop of Ivrea. Archbishop and Cardinal

Secretary of State of the Holy See
