Open Asian Championship ( English Open , later Asian Classic ) is a professional rating tournament on snooker .

It was held in the seasons from 1989/90 to 1992/93, then, after a break in the 1996/97 season , was the Asian Classic rating tournament. Starting next season, it was transformed into the open championship of China in snooker (first, as a non-rated China Challenge, then became a rating).
The Asian Open / Asian Classic was held in Thailand , with the exception of the 1990/91 season , when the tournament was held in Guangzhou , China .
