Biography
He was born on September 3 / September 16 (according to the new calendar) 1918 in Kiev.
He graduated from the Department of Russian Philology and Culture of the Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky and the Higher Diplomatic School of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. He participated in the Great Patriotic War . At diplomatic work since 1946.
- In 1946 - 1950 - an employee of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1950 - 1952 - an employee of the Embassy of the USSR in Turkey .
- In 1952 - 1956 - an employee of the Consulate General of the USSR in Istanbul (Turkey).
- In 1956 - 1958 - Advisor to the USSR Embassy in Turkey.
- In 1958 - 1962 - at a responsible job in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1962 - 1964 - Consul General of the USSR in Istanbul.
- In 1965 - 1966 - at a responsible job in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1966 - 1968 - Advisor to the USSR Embassy in Tunisia .
- In 1968 - 1969 - Advisor and Envoy of the USSR Embassy in Guinea .
- From November 11, 1969 to April 13, 1975 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Dahomey [1] .

For many years he taught at the Department of Diplomacy at MGIMO (University) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs .
Family and personal life
Igor Nazarievich was married to Antonina Afanasyevna Zhukovskaya (12.23.1923 - 08.23.2006). He had a daughter (Nella Igorevna Zhukovskaya, born January 31, 1943) and a son (Sergey Igorevich Zhukovsky, 11/11/1949 - 12/27/1995).
He wrote music and poetry.
