Construction

The ship was added to the lists of ships of the Navy of the USSR on March 7, 1970. The laying of the ship took place on March 20, 1970 at the A. A. Zhdanov shipyard (Severnaya Verf) in Leningrad under serial number 725. On October 8, 1970 the ship was launched. In March 1973, the Red Banner Flag of the USSR Navy was hoisted on a ship [1] .

The end of spring 1973 and the whole summer spent running and state tests. September 15, 1973 went into operation. October 26, 1973 included in the Red Banner Pacific Fleet . June 11, 1974 was assigned to the composition of 201 BrPLK 10th OPESK KTOF [1] .

Service

In January 1974 he left Baltiysk to switch to the KTOF and to ensure the transition of new nuclear submarines there. During the transition in February 1974 he made an official call to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea in the capital Malabo and in the port of Bata . In March, he made an official friendly call to Port Louis, the capital of the state of Mauritius. In April, he served in the Socotra Islands, driving off the URO American ship from our nuclear submarines, and later made a call to the port base of Berber (Republic of Somalia). From the port of Berbera, he led / dragged behind him to the CTF a faulty diesel submarine. In June, he embarked on the berth of the Vladivostok base, thereby completing the transition.

In 1976, the ship under the command of the captain of the 2nd rank A.S. Kosov held the first place in the formation, and in the competition for the championship of the Navy took first place in two types of combat training (fire and tactical). The BPC was declared excellent and the second year in a row confirmed the title of "The best ship of the Navy of the USSR" , having won the prize of the Navy GK for tracking and destruction of nuclear submarines. From March 30 to December 25, 1977, the Dalzavod Shipyard underwent ongoing repairs. In the winter of 1977-1978, the ship took part in the rescue operation of three patrol ships of Project 50 in the northern part of the Sea of ​​Japan . During this operation, in severe storm conditions, he received serious damage. The aft launcher of the Shtorm air defense system and the Volna bow radar were torn off the foundations. On April 7, 1978, the ship participated in the bilateral exercises of the KTOF ships together with the BPC Admiral Oktyabrsky , Capable, RKR Vladivostok , and TFR Razyashchy . The exercises from the board of the Admiral Senyavin switchgear were observed by L. I. Brezhnev and D. F. Ustinov .

From July 1979 to March 1980, the ship was in the Combat Service (BS) in the Indian Ocean. On August 25, 1979, the BPC Marshal Voroshilov, BMT Boris Butoma , and the Volatile flying transport complex making the transition to the Far East made a five-day business visit to the port of Victoria (Seychelles) [2] . September 30, a friendly visit to the port of Massawa (Ethiopia). October 28 - visit to the port of Maputo (Mozambique). December 8 - visit to the port of Victoria (Seychelles). February 20, 1980 visit to the port of Colombo (Sri Lanka). He returned to the Soviet Union on March 14, 1980. According to the results of 1980, the ship (commander of the 3rd rank captain V. I. Floryak) was declared excellent for the third time.

From November 1980 to December 1985, the ship underwent medium repairs at the Dalzavod Shipyard in Vladivostok. From September 1987 to April 1988, the ship was on a base station at the Kamran Navy ( South China Sea ).

January 24, 1991 by order of the High Command of the Navy, the ship received the name "Khabarovsk".

On July 3, 1992, it was disarmed, and on October 29 of the same year it was expelled from the Navy and disbanded.
