Description
“A rectangular panel with a ratio of width to length of 2: 3, consisting of three centrally symmetrical parts: the red part at the shaft, the green at the free edge and the blue separating them, edged by white lines on the strip, with a downward slope running from the upper side of the panel to the lower . The ratio of the width of the parts (including the edging) when they come in contact with the upper edge is 3: 5: 19. With a shift to the middle, the banner carries stylized images of a spruce, a roll of paper and a church, partially overlapping the borders of the strip and made in green, white, black and yellow. "
Symbols
The flag is designed on the basis of the coat of arms, which in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical, natural and economic features of the city of Koryazhma.
The church shows that the city is located on the site of the Koryazhemsky monastery , built in the XV century. The name “Koryazhma” comes from the ancient monastic robe of “Koryazhma” worn by novices of the monastery.
Spruce and roll of paper in a red box symbolize the city’s leading manufacturing enterprise - a branch of Ilim Group OJSC in the city of Koryazhma (formerly Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill OJSC), whose profile is related to timber processing.
The blue bar indicates the location of the city on the banks of the Vychegda River, which has become an integral part of the city landscape. The blue stripe symbolizing the Vychegda River, the spruce and green coat of arms complement its description, reflecting the rich nature surrounding the city.
