“Mill” is a Russian folk rock band [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] from Moscow . It was founded on October 15, 1999 by the musicians of the disintegrated band Til Uhlenshpigel . The vocalist, harpist and main songwriter is Khelavisa (Natalya Andreevna O'Shey).

History
The group was founded in 1999 by former members of the Til Ulenspiegel group, which had broken up by then. On the posters of the first concert of Mills on October 29, 1999, Til Ulenspiegel was still listed, for which Helavisa apologized to the public. Mills’s debut album, entitled Sleep Road , included several songs, arranged by Ruslan Komlyakov, the leader of Tiel Ulenspiegel.
The group became popular in 2005 thanks to Our Radio and the Chart Dozen charts. Fans of the "Mill" organized a flash mob and brought the song "Night Mare" to the leaders of the hit parade. Since then, "Mill" - a regular participant in the playlist of "Our Radio", their songs often win in charts. In the same 2005, changes took place in the Mill. Most participants separated and formed the Sylphs group. But in December, four new members came, two of whom also played in the NetSlov group. Then the second vocalist, Alevtina Leontyeva , appeared, who took part in the recording of the album “ Call of Blood ” (2006). Alevtina left the group in 2007.
In 2009, Mill recorded the new album Wild Herbs . In the same year the collection of hits "Mill: Best Songs" was released. In parallel with his work at the Mill, Helavisa performs solo, and amateur recordings of her concerts have been circulating for a long time. The first "official" solo album, "Leopard in the City," was released in 2009. In 2011, the group released the single "Christmas Songs", which included two new songs - "Take Care" and "Sheep". The single was published in a limited edition for visitors to the band's Christmas concerts; it will not go on sale or reprint.
On April 28, 2012, the fifth record of Angelophrenia was released. On the same day, "Mill" presented a new album in Moscow, in the club Arena Moscow. A DVD recording of the Wild Grass concert-presentation and the Sign of Four box set , the reissue of the band’s first four albums, were also released. As a bonus, “Sign of Four” included the songs “Take Care of Yourself” and “Sheep,” included in the 2011 Christmas single. In November, the shooting of the first clip of the group [6] and the material for the second clip from the group’s concert in Izhevsk on November 25, 2012 [7] took place .
January 11, 2013 was released Christmas mini-album "My Joy", which includes 5 songs. On September 26, 2014, the first official concert album of the Mill group, Angelophrenia Live, was released, which included recording 16 songs from the presentation of the album Angelophrenia at Arena Moscow on April 28, 2012. On October 25, 2014, an anniversary concert was held in Moscow, dedicated to the group's fifteenth anniversary, as well as the birth of a daughter by cellist Alexei Orlov.
October 9, 2015 released the album "Alchemy". September 3, 2016, on the birthday of Helavisa, the public was presented with a video for the song “Farewell” from the last album. October 15, 2016 the release of the new album "Chimera", conceptually associated with the previous one. In 2017, the band’s first two albums were reissued, Sleep Road and Pass . The new edition includes booklets with lyrics and new illustrations.
