The patron saint of the commune is venerated by St. Nicholas , the celebration of December 6th .
History
First mentioned in document 1309. At first, the village belonged to the Sanseverino family, then it was part of the royal domain. In 1427, it was received as a barony by Cirello Dal Verme, in 1496 it was received by Count , but then she returned to Dal Verme. In 1566, Battista Carrof resumed with Muzio Del Verme the lawsuit over Alfano's ownership, but Del Verme won it. In 1588, Alfano bought Paolo Brancaccio. Since 1619, these places passed to the family of Bernall, who owned them almost without interruptions until the 18th century.
