Biography
Born March 19, 1947 in Murmansk .

In 1984 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography .
He was a member of the first unofficial association of Sverdlovsk - the Uktus School group ( Anna Tarshis , Valery Dyachenko, Felix Volosenkov , Evgeny Arbenev , Alexander Galamaga, Sergey Sigey) [2] . After leaving A. Tarshis from Sverdlovsk, he lived in Yeisk [2] .
Actively engaged in mail art , visual poetry. The poems of Sergey Sigay were published in the magazines “ Hours ” and “ Draft ”, in the anthology “Urbi”, in the magazine “ New Literary Review ” and many others. et al. Published, together with Ry Nikonova, samizdat journals “Number” and “ Transponance ” [3] .
In the 1990s, he published a series of books related to the history of the Russian avant-garde ( A. Kruchenykh , J. Yanechek , K. Malevich , V. Gnedov ), including at the Yeisk Museum of Local History. In 1991 he published in Yeisk an essay "A Brief History of Visual Poetry in Russia" [4] .
Winner of the Andrei Bely Prize (together with Nikonova Ry ) for 1998 in the nomination “For Special Merits”.
In 1998, together with Ry Nikonova moved to Germany .
He died on the night of September 21, 2014 in Kiel ( Germany ) [5] [6] .
