He graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory ( 1900 ), a student of Antonio Cotonya and Stanislav Gabel . He sang in St. Petersburg at the opera of the People’s House (1900-1902) and at the Arcadia Theater (1903), as well as in Vitebsk , Minsk , and Tiflis . Since 1904 , he taught vocals at a music school in Astrakhan. Among the students Nikolai Bravin .
He was shot dead on the street during the revolutionary riots.
Wife - Lyubov Yakovlevna Klyuzner (nee Gordel), artist. Son - Boris Lazarevich Klyuzner (1909-1975), composer.
