  • In the h / f matches, Spassky won against Gort (in the extra match), Portisch - against Larsen, Polugaevsky - against Meking, Korchnoi - against Petrosyan;
  • In the p / f matches Spassky - at Portisch and Korchnoi - at Polugaevsky.
  • In the final, Korchnoi defeated Spassky and won the right to a match with world champion A. Karpov .
