Samuel , in the world of Samyilo Nedilka (died 1769 ) ( Ukrainian: Nedilka Samіylo ) - hieromonk , icon painter and portrait painter of the 2nd half of the 18th century.

Biography

He was a student of Alimpiya Galika in the icon-painting workshop of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra . Around 1754 he worked at the Holy Cross Monastery ( Poltava ). Since 1762, he was appointed the painting head of the Sophia Monastery ( Kiev ). Famous works: a portrait of Nectaria (in the world of Natalia Dolgoruky, now in the Chernigov Museum named after V. Tarnovsky ), Dmitry ( 1769 , in the State Museum of Decorative Arts ).
