Hexacyanoferriates (III) ( ferricyanides , salts of ferric acid ) are compounds containing the complex ion [Fe (CN) 6 ] 3– .
For example, potassium ferricyanide K 3 [Fe (CN) 6 ] ( red blood salt ) is used in analytical chemistry (for determination of Fe 2+ ions ), as well as for the production of Turnbull blue .
