Tolstoy, Ivan Nikitich

Ivan Nikitich Tolstoy (born January 21, 1958 , Leningrad ) is a Russian philologist and literary historian, educator, screenwriter, broadcaster, essayist, radio journalist. The grandson of the writer A. N. Tolstoy and the poet-translator M. L. Lozinsky (maternal), son of N. A. Tolstoy , brother of Mikhail Tolstoy , Natalia Tolstoy and Tatiana Tolstoy . Since 1995, a staff member of Radio Liberty in Prague.

Biography

He graduated from the philological faculty of the Leningrad University (Russian branch).

He worked as a guide in the Pushkin Reserve ( Pushkin Mountains , 1980-1983), a teacher of Russian language and literature in the Leningrad secondary school (1984-1986), a teacher of the Polygraphic Institute (1987-1988) and the Russian Christian Humanitarian Institute (since 1989), and specialized courses in V. Nabokov at St. Petersburg State University (1994) and source studies at Charles University (Prague, 1999), worked as an editor at Zvezda magazine (1989–1990), as a proofreader for the Russian Thought weekly (Paris, 1990–1993), as a radio freelancer. Liberty (1988-1995), editor in chief of Publishers Tobias Grzhe Ina (Paris, 1992-1993), where (in conjunction with the St. Petersburg partners) released the book Boris Paramonov, E. Polyanovskiy E. Mock Beeker, Leontyev and the first edition of "Boris Godunov" Pushkin . The work with T. Grzhebin was described in letters to the historian by the book L. Univergu [1] .

Reprinted since 1985 (about 500 articles, reviews and reviews in Russian-language periodicals of Germany, Russia, USA and France). Specializes in the history of emigration and the Cold War. In 1994, the editor-in-chief of the illustrated “journal of essays, publications, chronicles” “Experiments” (Paris-Petersburg, 1994, No. 1, unique). Since 2011, she has been writing the program “The Historical Journeys of Ivan Tolstoy” on the Russian TV channel “Culture ”.

Since autumn 2018, it compiles and edits the Connaisseur historical and cultural almanac published in Prague in Russian.
