Crispin Gray-Johnson ( born Crispin Gray-Johnson , December 7, 1946 , Banjul ) - Gambian statesman, diplomat. Since March 19, 2008, he has been Secretary of State for Higher Education in The Gambia.

Career
Born in the city of Banjul in the territory of the British protectorate of the Gambia. After graduation, he studied at McGill University in Canada , received a bachelor 's degree in political science and French. In 1971 he received a certificate of postgraduate education at Oxford . In 1980, he received a master's degree in human resources management from George Washington University [1] .
From 1968 to 1977 he worked in the Department of Education in Banjul. From 1977 to 1996 he worked in the African Economic Commission, which is part of the UN . In 1996 and 1997, he served as Managing Director of Galloryaa Farms . After that, he served as High Commissioner and Ambassador to Sierra Leone , Côte d'Ivoire , Liberia , Brazil , Venezuela , USA and Canada [1] .
From 2002 to 2007, he held the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of the Gambia to the UN [1] , led the UN Commission on Population and Development [2] .
In early 2007, Gray-Johnson was appointed Minister of Higher Education and Research [3] . In September 2007, he was transferred to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs [4] . In March 2008, he was transferred to the post of Minister of Higher Education.
