Mikhail Aronovich Makarovsky ( May 18, 1893 , the village of Aleksandrovka , Region of the Don Army [1] - September 27, 1918 , Azov ) is a Russian revolutionary and public figure, chairman of the first Azov Council of Workers 'and Soldiers' Deputies.

Biography
Mikhail Makarovsky was born in 1893 in the family of a merchant. In 1911 he graduated from the Azov gymnasium with a gold medal. In 1916, he studied at the library courses of the A. L. Shanyavsky University , was chairman of the council of university elders. Then he went to study at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Petrograd University , which he graduated in 1917. He was a man fully educated and respected in Azov. He appeared in the city shortly before the February Revolution of 1917.
He was the initiator of the creation and the first chairman of the Azov Council of Workers 'and Soldiers' Deputies, a member of the committee of the Azov organization of the RSDLP , presided over the public education community, worked in the library, was a member of the City Council and the vowel of the Azov Duma. In 1917 he lived on the street. Moscow, 33.
In May 1917 he founded the Azov Museum of Local Lore (now the Azov Historical, Archaeological and Paleontological Museum-Reserve) [2] .
September 27, 1918 he was hanged in Azov by a punitive detachment of a white Cossack officer Ikaev.
One of the streets of the city of Azov is named after Mikhail Makarovsky.
