General Information
The construction of the hydropower plant began in 1971 , ended in 1982. The launch of the hydropower plant was carried out on March 13, 1980 .
The composition of hydroelectric facilities:
- spillway concrete dam 26 m long;
- an earthen channel dam 133 m long and the highest 11.5 m high;
- right bank dam 160 m long;
- left bank dam length 185 m;
- supply channel 480 m long;
- discharge channel 180 m long;
- near the dam of the hydroelectric station with a length of 72 m.
The capacity of the hydroelectric power station is 18 MW, the average annual output is 79 million kWh . In the building of the hydroelectric power station there are 2 rotary-blade hydraulic units of 9 MW each, operating at a design head of 8.5 m.
The supporting structures of the hydroelectric power station (the length of the pressure front is 270 m) form the Yushkozersky reservoir , which includes the lakes Upper , Middle and Lower Kuyto . The reservoir area is 654 km², the total and useful capacity is 1.566 and 1.254 km³. When creating the reservoir, 490 hectares of farmland were flooded, 491 buildings were moved. The reservoir carries out long-term flow regulation, increasing the production of the underlying HPPs of the cascade.
HPP was designed by the Institute " Lengidroproekt ".
The Yushkozerskaya HPP is part of TGC-1 OJSC.
