Brezov pod Bradlom ( Slovak. Brezová pod Bradlom , German. Birkenhain , Hungarian Berezó ) is a city in western Slovakia , located at the foot of the Lesser Carpathians . The population is about 5.5 thousand people.

Content
History
Brezov was first mentioned in 1263 in the letter of King Bela IV . In 1709 it became a city. In 1848, Brezova was one of the centers of the uprising.
Title
The name "Brezova" means "Birch".

Osusky was born in the city , Stephen (1889-1973) - Czechoslovak diplomat, politician and scientist.
