Wakakusa no Charlotte ( 若 草 の シ ャ ル ロ ッ ト ト Wakakus no Syrotto , “Young Charlotte”) is an anime series from Nippon Animation . It was broadcast in Japan from October 29, 1977 to May 27, 1978. Created on the basis of the original story of the screenwriter Yukimuro Shunbiti (as opposed to the existing manga). Nippon Animation focused the Wakakusa no Charlotte primarily on the girljo audience, hoping to repeat the success of Haikara-san ga Tooru . Although television ratings were low, this is a favorite and well-known anime in some European countries, especially in Italy.

Story
Charlotte was raised by her father, a former French nobleman who lives on a ranch in the province of Quebec , in Canada. Although she grew up without a mother, Charlotte was a happy girl, surrounded by a loving father and many friendly animals.
After Charlotte's father dies, her mother comes to live with her. At the same time, Charlotte meets a strange boy.
