About Gallery
The Sculpture Gallery is the first modern exhibition center in St. Petersburg created to exhibit and popularize this art form directly. The main activity is exhibition, including visiting, exchange, landscape exhibitions. The gallery is included in the All-Russian Register of Museums.
The focus is on the development trends of contemporary Russian and foreign sculpture, starting from the last decades of the 20th century, and to the present day. Thematic exhibitions, held every three months, demonstrate the diversity of trends, styles and schools among such types of plastic art as sculpture, object, installation, small plastic. Materials - the most diverse, from traditional (metal, wood, stone) to non-standard cellulose, polystyrene, cardboard.
A feature of the gallery was also the emphasis on exhibiting landscape sculpture. According to the idea of the creators, the exhibition of landscape sculpture in the gallery space is not only the possibility of implementing bold curatorial projects, acquainting a wide circle of viewers with works that are difficult to exhibit, but also attracting the attention of professionals and connoisseurs of this art form as an object of collecting.
