Biography

From an educated family, his father is a teacher of oriental philosophy at a secular university. In the late 1940s, the young man became close to communist youth. In 1950 - 1953 he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University . In 1953 he moved to Hamburg , then to Paris , where he decided to stay forever. In 1955 , the first solo exhibition of Assar took place in the Paris Prism Gallery.

Impressed by the Chinese art exhibition at the Chernuski Museum, he comes to a non-figurative manner reminiscent of oriental calligraphy . Deeply interested in Chinese thought, ancient philosophy. In 1961 , Assar's exhibition takes place in London , he draws closer to the art critic Herbert Reed , and meets Francis Bacon . Then he discovered the poetry of Yves Bonfois , in 1962 he became acquainted with the poet himself. In 1963, an article on Assard's painting was published by the famous existential philosopher Jean Grenier . Assar meets the famous gallery owner Aime Magt , with the poet Jacques Dupin . In 1972, in Tehran, Assar meets with the largest Iranianist Henri Korben , and through him makes acquaintance with Choran , translator Pierre Leiris, poetess Kathleen Rain , philosopher, researcher and translator of Islamic thought Christian Jambé . In 1976 - 1978 Assar met with the poets Pierre-Albert Jourdan , Philippe Jacques , Bernard Noel .

In 1982, Nasser Assar received French citizenship.

Creativity

Assar's solo exhibitions have repeatedly been held in Tehran, Paris, Montpellier , Avignon , Brussels , London, and Washington . He illustrated the books of Bonfois, Jacques, Jourdan, etc. About his painting, "obsessed with the invisible", wrote art historians, poets, philosophers - Herbert Reed, Jourdan, Bonfois, Jacquote, B. Noel, John Ashbury , Roger Munier , Claude Esteban , Christian Jambet.
