Hussar ( Spanish: El húsar ) is the first novel by the Spanish writer Arturo Perez-Reverte . It was completed in 1983 and published three years later. In 2004 , Perez-Reverte published a new, slightly modified edition.

Story
The action of the novel "Hussar" takes place in the beloved era of the novelist, in the era of the Napoleonic Wars . The first novel of the famous author is a passionate denunciation of war. For a day from a dream to indescribable horror, such a path goes a handsome young man in one day, making him a ruin, crippled physically and mentally disabled. "Hussar" is a real apotheosis of war. Bloody battle scenes and shocking naturalistic details reveal the whole disgusting essence of war and make one shudder with horror.
