Song Kang Ho ( cor. ? , 송강호 ? ; Born January 17, 1967 ) is a South Korean actor. He gained the greatest fame thanks to the films “ United Security Zone ” ( 2000 ), “ Compassion for Mr. Revenge ” ( 2002 ), “ Memoirs of a Murder ”, ( 2003 ), “ Dinosaur Invasion ” ( 2006 ), “ Thirst ” (2009), “ Parasites ”(2019).

Biography
Song Kanho never studied for an actor, after school he played in social theater groups. Then he entered the influential theater company Ki Kook So, in which the emphasis was on instinctive play and improvisation, which served as the basis for the acting base of Son. Although he was often offered to star in a movie, he refused, until he agreed to participate in the film “The Day the Pig Falls into the Well” ( 1996 ) directed by Hong San Su . A year later, playing the homeless in the documentary drama Hon San Su “Bad Cinema”, he became a cult figure, and after the role of a gangster who trains a group of recruits in the crime comedy “No. 3” ( 1997 ), he won his first prize for the best game.
Since then, he has played several supporting roles, including the vivid supporting role in the thriller blockbuster Shiri (쉬리 1999 ) Kang Jae Gyu. Song played his first major role in Kim Ji-un 's comedy The Dirty King (2000). But in the first row of Korean actors, Son got up after the prize-winning role of a North Korean sergeant in the film Pak Chan Uka “ Joint Security Zone ” / 공동 경비 구역 JSA / ( 2000 ). In " Compassion for Mr. Revenge, " he played the role of a father chasing the kidnappers of his daughter.
In 2002, Song played a major role in the YMCA Yagudan film about the first Korean baseball team created at the beginning of the 20th century, and in 2003 in the real-life story of the brutal serial killer, the movie “ Memories of the Killing ”. In 2005 , he had a small role in “ Compassion for Madame Revenge ” by Pak Chan Uk .
Another highlight was Dream in 2006 , playing a father looking for a daughter kidnapped by a river monster in the movie " Dinosaur Invasion " (more than 13 million viewers watched the film in Korea, and the total box office was $ 89 million). In 2008, Dream secured the position of one of the leading Korean actors, playing absolutely diverse roles in the Western film, Good, Bad, Fucking , and in the religious drama Secret Secret .
The next role of Son is the image of a Catholic priest who became a vampire in the film " Thirst " by Pak Chan Uk . The film won the Jury Prize at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for Best Actor at the Asian Film Awards .
In 2013, Song Kanho, along with Hollywood stars, played in the thriller Through the Snow , directed by Pong Joon Ho . [one]
