Hagiography
Arkady was born in 284 in the Roman province of Mauritania (the territory of present-day Algeria ). During the persecution of Christians 284-305. during the reign of the Roman emperor Diocletian was forced to hide. When his family was arrested, Arkady appeared in court. He was offered to give up his faith, but remained faithful to Christianity. Then he was tortured: his legs were broken and crucified.
