The Altynkul district (fog) ( Uzbek. Oltinko'l tumani / Oltinkul fogi ) is one of the fogs (districts) of Andijan viloyat (region) of Uzbekistan . The administrative center is the village of Altynkul , with a population of about 10 thousand people. The population of the entire Altinkul fog for 2018 is 135 thousand people. The bulk of the population are Uzbeks . The official and most common language is Uzbek .

Altynkul district was formed in 1939 , in the period 1963 - 1978 it was part of the Andijan fog . Since 1978, it is again an independent administrative unit within the Andijan region. It occupies the central part of the Andijan region. It borders on Izbaskansky in the north, Balykchinsky in the north-west and west, Shakhrihansky in the south-west and south, Asakinsky in the south and Andijan municipality in the east with Andijan fogs.

Feature
The relief of the district is represented by lowlands , hills and adyrs . Climate of high subtropical highlands . The average temperature in July is +25 +28 ˚С, in February −5 −7 ˚С. Sometimes in summer the temperature reaches +42 +43 ˚С, and in winter, on the contrary, up to −15 −18 ˚С. The growing season is 160-180 days. The average annual rainfall is up to 225 mm. In the north of the region, the Karadarya River flows, in the south - the Big Ferghana Canal , the Ulugnor Canal , the inter-district skid Collector-Asaka . Soils in the Adyr part are enriched, others - serozem. In spring, adyrs are covered with ephemeral plants. On virgin areas wormwood and quinoa grow. Wild animals are rare. There are rodents , reptiles and birds .
