The odor fixer ( English fixative , aroma fixative [1] ) is a substance that is capable of maintaining the smell of a perfumery substance for a long time. Typically, the clips do not participate in the perfume composition, although they often have their own smell. Catchers slow down the evaporation of less persistent perfume. [2]
Four classical clamps of animal origin: musk , tsibet , amber , castoreum [3] .
Synthetic fixatives: benzyl benzoate , benzyl salicylate , dipropylene glycol and others. [one]
One of the most famous odor fixers is benzophenone .
