Team RadioShack ( UCI Team Code: RSH ) is an American professional road racing team UCI ProTour , announced by Lance Armstrong and Johan Brunel on July 23, 2009 [1] . The co-owners of the team were Capital Sports and Entertainment ( Austin , Texas ), a former co-owner of the Discovery Channel cycling team, and Lance Armstrong himself. The title sponsor is the American electronics retailer of the same name , sponsorship contracts are signed with manufacturers of Trek bicycles, SRAM cycling equipment and Nike sportswear. After two years of playing under the UCI ProTeams license, the team teamed up with Leopard Trek . The new RadioShack-Nissan team used the license of the Luxembourg team, and therefore Team RadioShack was formally disbanded.
