Geography
The farm is located in the north of the Zimovnikovsky district within the Ergeninsky Upland, which is part of the East European Plain, on the left bank of the Sal River [2] , at an altitude of 42 m above sea level [3] . The terrain is flat. The area has a slight slope to the north, towards the Sal river [2]
By road, the distance to Rostov-on-Don is 310 km, to the nearest city Volgodonsk - 86 km, to the district center of the village of Zimovniki - 37 km, to the administrative center of the rural settlement of the Gashun farm - 17 km [4] .
There are two streets on the farm: Livestock and Russo-Sadovskaya.
History
Founded in 1923-1924 by settlers from the Kursk province, they founded a farm, named Sadovsky in memory of their native places. To distinguish it from the already existing Kalmyk farm Sadovsky added the word "Russian-" [5] .
