Story
First we are shown a poster saying that today is a tennis championship , and then a tennis court . The first participant, Tom , comes out of his dressing room, and another participant, the Butch cat, immediately presses him with the door of his dressing room (he behaves like a very rich, arrogant and talented athlete who is allowed everything). Tom was crushed by the door so that it looks like an Egyptian profile picture. After that, Jerry takes the stage, whom Tom forces to perform the functions of Caddy (the assistant who wears his equipment for the athlete). Jerry and Tom go to the court, a little mouse gives Tom his racket and ball. Since Tom doesn't need the mouse anymore, he throws it (using a racket) into a drinking fountain. The match begins. Tom feeds, and Butch beats her back so hard that Tom’s racket burns out. Then, Tom, in a rage, takes three balls and at the same time “delivers” them to Butch. Butch divides his racket into three and easily beats off the pitch. The broken balls go straight into Tom's mouth - and, to the tail.
In the next scene, Tom makes a pitch, similar to a badminton pitch, and draws off the net to get a point, but it was not there. Butch with such force beats the ball into the ground, that he drills it and flies out behind Tom. Tom stretches his hand to an inhuman distance and beats the ball back almost to the end of the court. Butch bounces the ball off the net many times, although in reality he discards the ball from Tom’s face with great speed. Butch puts a racket on Tom, and the ball flies off to half Butch's court. Butch beats off the ball with a twist - in the end the ball flies and buzzes like a bee. The ball almost touches Tom and makes a detour. Tom tries to catch the ball, but crashes into one of the supports of the net and rolls it into the net.
Jerry decides to play a trick on the cats, offering each of them their own tactics. First, he takes the side of Tom, secretly gives him a small white bomb instead of a ball, and both wink at each other. Tom "gives" a bomb, she gets into Butch, and he becomes like a Negro dancing in a ballet . Jerry unscrews a very heavy decorative ball that looks like a tennis ball from the stadium gates, and offers the humiliated Butch to serve not with a ball, but with this object. Butch, checking out deceit, winks at Jerry, and the mouse winks at him. Butch pitches a cumbersome pseudo-ball. Tom is trying to hit the ball ... but the white cast-iron ball hits him right between the eyes and Tom falls into pieces. Jerry was fun, and he laughs at Tom.
Angry Tom throws tennis balls at Jerry, Jerry seems to be successfully evading them, but still swallows one. Tom makes the pitch round swollen mouse, it is now able to play the role of the ball. Jerry flies to Butch and tries to escape from a racket strike, but in vain. Tom discourages Jerry (more precisely, he thinks he discourages), but he doesn’t see how the mouse flies, as Jerry caught on the racket net. After some confrontation of cats from Jerry knock the ball and he lands on the net, and walks over its top, like a tightrope. After a short time, the little mouse jumps on Butch's head. Jerry time to dodge the racket hit Tom, and he falls on the head Butch. Tom runs after Jerry, fleeing, forgetting that Butch’s head is stuck in his racket, and strikes Butch in his half of the court. Butch is ready to tear Tom to pieces, but suddenly he sees Jerry. Butch forgets about Tome, takes the ball as it should, hits his racket, and the ball flies into Jerry.
Jerry taps the ball with a racket lying nearby, Butch fights back, and Jerry starts playing with Butch. Jerry reflects one of the innings so that the ball soars very high above the court. Both Tom and Butch rush to the ball, and as a result they noisily collide and "partially grow together" with each other. Then the cats are separated from each other and decide to work against Jerry in a team. Jerry runs up to the tennis simulator and activates the maximum speed. Butch and Tom barely beat off a pile of balls flying on them, but they cling to the net and fly away from the court with it.
As a result, Jerry wins the championship. He puts on the dress jacket, writes his name on the winning cup and welcomes the cheering crowd.
