Hagiography
According to hagiographic sources, Ovid was a Roman citizen, originally from Sicily . He was sent by Pope Clement I to the city of Braga, where he has been a bishop since 95 . Ovid baptized Saint Marina and her sister, Saint Liberat . Ovid died a martyrdom around 135.
His relics are stored in the cathedral of the city of Braga.
