Company History

Jakob dieffenbacher

In 1873, at the age of 26, the metalworker Jacob Dieffenbacher organized his independent enterprise in Eppingen. In the eighties of the nineteenth century, the company manufactured stoves and cash cabinets, which can be found even today in the northern regions of the Federal Land of Baden. The original company was located in the historic center of the town of Eppingen. However, industrial development in the early 20th century required its expansion. Gradually, a small workshop turned into a spacious factory for the production of hydraulic presses for the food industry (for pressing fruits, making wine and edible oils). After the Second World War, the company specialized primarily in the manufacture of heavy machinery and machines. Since 1954, the company makes its own press for chipboard and veneer. Then came the lines for the manufacture of plywood and the line of refining chipboard surface. In the mid-60s, Dieffenbacher was developing presses with a swivel pusher plate and a rolling press table. In the future, these presses have become the prototype of modern test presses for rolling tool. Since 1960, Dieffenbacher has been producing presses for processing (molding) synthetic materials. By the 1970s, the company was already becoming the market leader in the industry. The current owner and managing director, Wolf-Gerd Dieffenbacher, took over the enterprise from his father in 1980. From this point on, the development of the company as a supplier of complete technological lines began, as well as the internationalization of the company. Over the past period, due to the creation of new enterprises, new sales offices and service centers, as well as through the acquisition of existing firms, the company has undergone a significant expansion. Currently, the company's enterprises and offices are located in 22 locations around the world.
