Kabanka is a river in the central part of the Chelyabinsk region of Russia. Right, one of the largest tributaries of the Uvelka river ( Tobol basin).

The origins of the village of Lesnoy in the Uysky district . The height of the source is 269 m above sea level. It flows into the Uvelka river on the territory of the Yuzhnouralsk reservoir ( Yuzhnouralsk ). The height of the mouth is 201 m above sea level.

Title
Typically, these river names indicate the former habitat of wild boars. But the name of the Kabanka river, the right tributary of Uvelka, the Uya basin, may be of Bashkir origin by the male name Kaban. The name of this river was taken by the villages: Kabanka (formerly Kabanskoe), Uvelsky district , mentioned in documents in 1753, Upper Kabanka , the territory of the city of Plast, mentioned in documents in 1779.
